Duties:

  • Manage a caseload of insurance defense matters, including but not limited to general liability cases.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on various insurance defense issues.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Prepare for and attend hearings, depositions, and trials.
  • Negotiate settlements and communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in the litigation process.
  • Provide timely and accurate reporting to clients on case developments and status updates.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff on complex cases and strategic litigation initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • An active license to practice law in Florida and additional licensure in other states are a plus.
  • 10+ years of experience practicing law, focusing on insurance defense and civil litigation.
  • Proven track record of successful trial experience, including taking depositions and arguing motions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.

Education & Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
