Job Overview:

The Mid-Level Estate Litigation Associate Attorney will primarily be responsible for handling trust and estate litigation matters and commercial litigation cases. They will utilize their exceptional writing, oral communication, and time management/organization skills to represent clients effectively. Additionally, the candidate must possess a strong understanding of business entities and demonstrate a general knowledge of estate planning and administration issues and strategies.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in trust and estate litigation matters, including will contests, trust disputes, and fiduciary litigation.
  • Handle commercial litigation cases, including contract disputes, business torts, and corporate litigation matters.
  • Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Participate in all phases of litigation, from case investigation through trial and appeal.
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and the court professionally and effectively.
  • Collaborate with partners and senior associates on case strategy and client management.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in Trust & Estates and/or Commercial Litigation.
  • Admitted to practice law in New York.
  • Excellent writing, oral communication, and time management/organization skills.
  • General experience with business entities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle a high-volume caseload efficiently.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the New York State Bar.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in legal research and writing.
  • Strong advocacy and negotiation skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
