Legal Aid Works is currently seeking a highly motivated and passionate attorney to join our team as a Family Law and Immigration Attorney in Fredericksburg. This nonprofit law firm is dedicated to providing high quality legal services to low-income individuals and families impacted by poverty in Virginia. As an attorney at Legal Aid Works, you will have the opportunity to use your advocacy and negotiation skills to ensure equal justice for all Virginians.

Key responsibilities for this position include handling a busy caseload under the supervision of experienced attorneys, covering a multi-county region around our branch offices located in Culpeper, Fredericksburg, and Tappahannock, Virginia. This role also involves litigation and community education duties, as well as the supervision of office co-workers. It is an excellent opportunity for a new or less experienced attorney to quickly gain litigation experience while being closely mentored by experienced attorneys.

To be considered for this position, candidates must have a current Virginia license to practice law or be eligible for a legal aid certificate of practice. Public service experience and Spanish speaking skills are a plus. The annual salary for this position is $69,000, with excellent benefits including $5,000 yearly toward student loans.
