The Opportunity Adobe is currently seeking a hardworking and business-savvy lawyer to join their legal team. As an Associate Senior Legal Counsel, you will provide legal counsel to the product teams at Adobe that develop and market Adobe Firefly – a family of creative generative AI models. You will work closely with various teams within the organization, including product management, product marketing, engineering, and business strategy, to provide legal advice and support. This role will be based in San Francisco, CA, San Jose, CA, or Seattle, WA, and will report to the Managing Counsel of the Firefly Legal team. Key Responsibilities As an Associate Senior Legal Counsel at Adobe, you will be responsible for: - Developing legal solutions and policies for the development of innovative generative AI technologies, features, and business models. - Supporting and building positive relationships with the product development teams. - Drafting and negotiating various technology licensing agreements, including in-bound and out-bound licenses and partnership agreements. - Collaborating with clients on the review of products, business strategies, marketing collateral, and press releases to ensure legal compliance. - Coordinating with subject matter experts in Adobe’s Legal Department, such as privacy, antitrust, and intellectual property attorneys. - Developing and delivering materials and trainings to various internal groups, including engineering, program management, and sales legal. Requirements for Success To succeed in this role, you will need: - A . degree from an accredited law school and necessary bar membership. - At least 6 years of relevant legal experience, with a strong preference for experience in the software and online services industry. - Technical background or a strong interest in software/technology licensing agreements and development. - Proficiency in negotiating and drafting various agreements, including technology licenses, development agreements, and terms of use for online services. - Experience in privacy and data security issues and compliance. - A flexible, business-friendly mindset and the ability to think creatively and work with technical issues. - A sense of humor and the ability to collaborate effectively with people at all levels in the organization. - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. - A dedication to providing high-quality and timely legal advice. - Flexibility to work with colleagues and clients in different time zones. - The ability to exercise common sense and provide practical and theoretical advice. - A desire to make a meaningful impact and build a successful career with Adobe. Compensation and Benefits The salary for this role ranges from $136,500 to $261,000 annually, depending on the work location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, sales roles may include commission plans, while non-sales roles may have short-term incentives in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP). Some roles may also be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
