Job Details:

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel to employers on a wide range of employment-related issues.
  • Defend employers in federal and state courts, as well as before administrative agencies such as the EEOC and DOL.
  • Handle all aspects of litigation, including responding to complaints, drafting and responding to discovery, e-discovery, document production, preparing dispositive motions, and drafting position statements.
  • Demonstrate expertise in wage and hour class/collective action litigation.
  • Advise and handle restrictive covenant agreements, both in defense and prosecution.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 4-6 years of employment law experience.
  • Prior experience in the employment practice of a prominent law firm.
  • Admitted to practice law in New York; admission in MA, NJ, or PA is a plus.
  • Proven experience counseling employers on a variety of employment-related issues.
  • Demonstrated experience in defending employers in federal and state courts and before administrative agencies.
  • Familiarity with wage and hour class/collective action litigation is a plus.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the New York State Bar is required.
