The Government, Healthcare Attorney – Vice President, Assistant General Counsel position in Chicago, IL offers the opportunity to serve a diverse client base in the commercial banking industry. As part of the Commercial Banking Innovation & Products and Shared Services Legal team, this role will provide legal support to the firm's Government, Healthcare, Higher Education and Not-for-Profit (GHHN) businesses. The Legal Department at JPMorgan Chase & Co. is a global team of 2,000 lawyers and legal professionals who are trusted advisors and thought leaders. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of post-admission practicing experience, a JD or equivalent, and transactional experience with contract negotiation skills. Knowledge of banking laws and regulations, as well as experience working with GHHN clients, is preferred. The ability to lead and drive teams, prioritize work, and interact with senior management is also important for this role. All candidates must successfully complete a conflicts of interest clearance review before starting employment.

Experience Information:

Experience working in or with Governments, Healthcare providers, Higher Education institutions, or Not-For-Profit organizations is preferred.

- Experience working with wholesale payment solutions
- Experience with requests for proposals, particularly from state and local governments
- Knowledge of state and local government issues and procurement laws
