A law firm is seeking a Personal Injury Attorney for their office in Dallas, TX.

Job Overview:

The Personal Injury Attorney will manage a caseload of various types of personal injury matters in litigation. They will prepare and draft legal documents on behalf of clients, negotiate settlements, attend court appearances, and ensure efficient case management from inception to resolution.

Duties:

  • Manage a caseload of various types of personal injury matters in litigation
  • Prepare and draft legal documents on behalf of clients, including filing complaints
  • Draft meet and confer letters to opposing counsel regarding discovery disputes
  • Prepare clients for depositions and other applicable hearings
  • Take and defend depositions throughout the litigation
  • Prepare and respond to motions, including dispositive motions
  • Attend court appearances
  • Prepare for trial
  • Negotiate settlements for personal injury cases
  • Direct and support investigation on all assigned litigation matters
  • Assess potential and current matters for valuation purposes to aid in early resolution

Requirements:

  • 1-4 years of Personal Injury Law Experience
  • Strong background in Personal Injury Litigation, including pre-litigation case management and discovery
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
  • A Juris Doctor degree and current good standing with the CA State Bar is required.
  • Workers' Compensation experience is a plus

Education & Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor degree
  • Admission to the CA State Bar

Skills:

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong legal research and writing abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Attention to detail and analytical thinking
