Job Overview:

The Workers' Compensation Associate Attorney will handle various aspects of workers’ compensation claims, including legal analysis, research, drafting, client representation, and trial preparation. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, superior communication abilities, and a proactive approach to client service.

Duties:

• Review and analyze workers’ compensation claims files
• Conduct extensive legal research
• Draft various legal documents, including client correspondence, discovery devices, summations, appeals, and appellate briefs
• Maintain an annual billable requirement of 1950 hours
• Represent clients at depositions and hearings
• Prepare for trials and attend as necessary
• Retain and evaluate expert witnesses

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in workers’ compensation law; experience in other practice areas is a plus
• . degree from an ABA-approved law school
• Admitted to practice in the state of Georgia; admission in other states is advantageous
• Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong research abilities and written/oral communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Prompt responsiveness to e-mail and phone inquiries
• Excellent client interaction skills and telephone manner

Education & Certifications:
