Duties:

  • Administer probate estates in Maryland under supervision.
  • Draft basic and sophisticated estate planning documents incorporating estate and income tax planning.
  • Conduct legal research related to estate planning and administration matters.
  • Assist senior attorneys in client meetings, hearings, and other legal proceedings.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and external parties.

Requirements:

  • 0-3 years of relevant experience in estate planning and administration.
  • Licensed to practice law in Maryland or eligible to waive in.
  • Licensure in the District of Columbia and/or Virginia (preferred).
  • Ability or willingness to learn probate estate administration in Maryland.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in legal research and writing.
  • Membership in good standing of the Maryland Bar or eligibility to waive in.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Maryland Bar or eligibility to waive in.
