A law firm is seeking a Mid-level Information Governance/ Data Strategy Attorney to assist clients in the development of information governance programs, offering guidance on domestic and global information governance issues, conducting IG maturity assessments, and staying abreast of legislative and regulatory developments affecting clients’ data management practices.

 

Duties:

  • Drafting policies and procedures for information governance programs.
  • Preparing and vetting retention schedules and supporting program implementation.
  • Providing guidance on litigation preparedness, defensible disposition, and electronic communications management.
  • Conducting IG maturity assessments, developing assessment tools, interfacing with business leads, analyzing results, and formulating risk mitigation strategies.
  • Performing horizon scanning and providing updates on legislative, regulatory, and enforcement activities.
  • Coordinating global and domestic regulatory assessments, overseeing international counsel, summarizing findings, and developing heat maps.
  • Reviewing and revising data flows, sales FAQs, and marketing collateral for technology solutions.
  • Customizing and delivering IG training for various business audiences.
  • Effective communication with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties.
  • Producing deliverables, answering phone calls, and replying to correspondence efficiently.
  • Providing timely, accurate, and quality work product.
  • Meeting deadlines, expectations, and performing work duties as required.
  • Fostering positive work relationships.
  • Compliance with all firm policies and practices.
  • Performing any other duties, tasks, or projects as assigned.

 

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of relevant experience in serving clients of all sizes across various sectors.
  • Excellent academic credentials.
  • Superior analytical, written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously to meet deadlines.

 

Experience:

  • 4-6 years of relevant experience to join its FDA Regulatory group.

 

Education and Certifications:

  • . degree.
  • Admitted to practice in MA.
