Job Details:

  • Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties.
  • Produce deliverables, answer phone calls, and reply to correspondence in an efficient and responsive manner.
  • Provide timely, accurate, and quality work products.
  • Successfully meet deadlines, and expectations, and perform work duties as required.
  • Foster positive work relationships within the firm.
  • Comply with all firm policies and practices.
  • Engage in both physical and sedentary activities, including working at a computer for extended periods, participating in digital/virtual conference calls, and attending meetings as needed.
  • Perform all other duties, tasks, or projects as assigned.

Requirements:

  • 3-6 years of experience with civil litigation in state and federal courts.
  • Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Experience conducting and defending depositions, managing a case docket, and appearing in court is preferred.
  • Candidates with experience handling toxic tort and asbestos litigation are a plus.
  • Admission to the New York Bar is a plus.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the New York Bar (optional).

Skills:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in legal research, writing, and analysis.
  • Case management and docketing skills.
  • Ability to conduct and defend depositions.
  • Familiarity with toxic tort and asbestos litigation.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
