A law firm in Huntsville, AL, is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney to handle complex child custody, divorce, DHR defense, and adoption matters. The candidate will research, strategize, prepare, and try cases with confidence. They will take ownership of client cases, conduct client meetings, recommend strategies, and delegate assignments.

Duties:

• Research, strategize, and competently prepare complex child custody, divorce, DHR defense, and adoption matters.
• Handle all aspects of a client's case, including pleadings, discovery, motions, experts, depositions, mediation, hearings, trials, and post-judgment litigation.
• Conduct client meetings, recommend strategies, and delegate clear assignments to legal staff.
• Participate in contested trials, depositions, research and writing projects, and formal family law mediations.
• Manage a demanding caseload, balance priorities, and achieve production targets individually and as a team.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Alabama Bar and in good standing.
• Experience with contested divorce, child custody, DHR defense, or adoption trials.
• Experience conducting family law depositions and significant research and writing projects.
• Familiarity with appellate experience is a plus.

Education:

Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.

Admission to the Alabama Bar and in good standing.
