A law firm is seeking a Junior-Level Managed Care Regulatory Associate Attorney for their Chicago, IL office.

Job Overview:

The Junior-Level Managed Care Regulatory Associate Attorney will be responsible for providing legal counsel and support to health insurers and other healthcare entities. The ideal candidate should possess 2-4 years of experience in healthcare regulatory and compliance matters, with a focus on managed care. Experience with OMS (Operating Model Solutions) is considered advantageous.

Duties:

  • Conduct legal research and analysis on healthcare regulatory issues related to managed care.
  • Draft and review contracts, agreements, and other legal documents about managed care arrangements.
  • Provide legal guidance and support to clients regarding compliance with state and federal healthcare laws and regulations.
  • Assist in regulatory filings and submissions as required.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with healthcare regulatory requirements.
  • Represent clients in administrative proceedings and regulatory audits.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Illinois State Bar or eligibility for admission through reciprocity.
  • 2-4 years of experience in healthcare regulatory and compliance matters.
  • Prior experience representing health insurers and/or healthcare entities is preferred.
  • Familiarity with managed care regulations and industry practices.
  • Strong analytical, research, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Illinois State Bar or eligibility for admission through reciprocity.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in legal research and analysis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
