H1: Vice President, Assistant General Counsel - Discovery Manager H2: Job Description - JPMC's cross-functional eDiscovery team works closely with Litigation, Government Investigation and Regulatory Enforcement (GIRE) and HR Legal - Assistant General Counsel - Discovery Attorney (Vice President) responsible for advising on eDiscovery strategy and coordinating the end-to-end process - Involved in leading and advising on strategy, selecting and overseeing document hosting and review vendors, and general project management - Confer with litigators, internal and outside counsel, business and technology contacts, and vendors - JPMorgan Chase & Co. Legal Department manages legal and other risks, advises on products and services, and interprets laws and regulations - Global team of 2,000 lawyers and legal professionals committed to a culture of inclusivity and belonging - Manage the day-to-day case details as main point of contact throughout the discovery life cycle - Conduct early matter outreach, planning, budgeting, data scoping, tracking, reporting, and managing timelines - Facilitate early case assessment and review by coordinating with internal attorneys and conducting key searches, analyzing and reviewing documents, and providing summaries of critical communications and chronologies - Devise and implement strategies and workflows for matters and investigations - Manage document review on a matter level, working closely with internal attorneys, document hosting and review vendors, and internal case management personnel - Collaborate with internal and outside counsel, document hosting and review vendors, business and technology teams, and internal case management personnel to identify and execute effective and efficient document preservation, collection and review methods - Actively participate in strategic initiatives for the Legal Discovery Management team - and at least 5 years of practice experience - Must be licensed to practice law and a member in good standing in the state/jurisdiction in which the position is based - Superior oral and written presentation skills required - Must successfully complete a conflicts of interest clearance review prior to employment - Ability to prioritize work and effectively manage a large case load tracking multiple work streams - Previous discovery experience at a consulting firm, discovery vendor, or top tier law firm preferred - Deep understanding of discovery review platforms and experience with Technology Assisted Review (TAR) tools and workflows preferred
