A law firm in Houston, TX, is actively seeking a Lateral Offshore Energy and Maritime Associate Attorney with 2-4 years of offshore energy litigation experience. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in representing clients in complex maritime and energy-related legal matters.

Duties:

• Conduct legal research and analysis related to offshore energy and maritime cases.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and legal documents for litigation proceedings.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and legal teams to develop case strategies.
• Interact directly with clients, demonstrating strong communication and advocacy skills.
• Build and foster client relationships, and actively contribute to the development of referral networks.
• Participate in negotiations, settlement discussions, and other dispute resolution processes.
• Keep abreast of developments in offshore energy and maritime law.

Requirements:

• 2-4 years of offshore energy litigation experience.
• Excellent academic credentials from a reputable law school.
• Strong research, writing, communication, and advocacy skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
• Track record of high achievement in legal practice.
• Current State Bar license required.
• Attorneys licensed outside of Texas, who seek to relocate and practice in Houston, are encouraged to apply.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
