Job Overview:

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of litigation experience, strongly emphasizing labor and employment law. Experience in complex commercial litigation is highly valued. Candidates with post-law school federal clerkships but fewer than three full years of practice will also be considered. Superior verbal, writing, and interpersonal skills are essential, along with demonstrated abilities to work directly with clients and develop and execute service strategies.

Duties:

  • Handle a diverse caseload of labor employment and commercial litigation matters.
  • Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Participate in all aspects of litigation, including discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the court.
  • Provide strategic legal advice and counsel to clients on labor and employment issues.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of litigation experience, focusing on labor and employment law.
  • Experience in complex commercial litigation is highly desirable.
  • Post-law school federal clerkships are advantageous.
  • Must be licensed to practice law in Connecticut.
  • Dual Bar admission in New York State is preferred, or willingness to seek admission to practice in New York.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Connecticut Bar.
  • Admission to the New York Bar (preferred).
