Job Overview:

The Veterans Disability Compensation Attorney will represent clients in pursuing appeals before the VA Regional Office, BVA, or the CAVC. They will maintain personalized relationships with clients, respond to inquiries, and stay updated on veteran statutes and case law.

Duties:

  • Personally represent clients in appeals before the VA Regional Office, BVA, or the CAVC.
  • Develop evidence, conduct extensive research, and prepare letter briefs and appellate filings.
  • Maintain excellent relationships with clients, providing personalized legal services.
  • Respond to written and telephonic inquiries from clients.
  • Represent veterans before the Regional Office and Veterans Law Judges.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients via mail, telephone, and email.
  • Supervise and train legal assistants as needed.
  • Stay updated on veteran statutes, regulations, and case law through personal research and CLE training.

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of experience handling VA compensation claims for veterans OR 2 years of experience as an attorney at the Board of Veterans Appeals or Clerking for the CAVC.
  • Law Degree and Bar Admission in at least one State.
  • Empathy for those with disabilities.
  • Commitment to fighting for veterans to obtain earned benefits.
