Job Overview: A law firm in Dallas, TX, is seeking a qualified Patent Lawyer with 2 years of patent prosecution experience. The ideal candidate should possess expertise in 5G, Wi-Fi, and other wireless technologies, artificial intelligence (AI), processor and memory systems, image processing, and RF front-end. Duties:

  • Conduct patent prosecution activities related to various technologies including 5G, Wi-Fi, AI, processor and memory systems, image processing, and RF front-end.
  • Draft patent applications, responses to office actions, and other legal documents.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis related to patent matters.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders regarding patent issues and strategies.
  • Collaborate with inventors and technical experts to assess patentability and draft patent specifications.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of patent prosecution experience.
  • Expertise in 5G, Wi-Fi, AI, processor and memory systems, image processing, and RF front-end technologies.
  • Excellent academic credentials with a preference for an Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent.
  • Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Registration with the United States Patent Trademark Office ("USPTO") or eligibility to register.
  • Admission to and good standing with the Bar, or eligibility to waive in.

Education and Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent (preferred).
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
