A law firm is seeking an Intermediate Litigation Attorney Manager for its Houston, TX, location.

Job Overview: The Intermediate Litigation Attorney Manager will provide guidance and direction on litigation issues such as pleadings, discovery, and depositions. They will help maximize value in a case through proper development and preparation for trial.

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel and representation to clients in litigation matters.
  • Manage a caseload, including drafting pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support litigation strategy.
  • Prepare for and attend hearings, mediations, and trials.
  • Oversee discovery processes, including document production and depositions.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure effective case management.
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and courts as needed.
  • Monitor case deadlines and ensure compliance with court rules and procedures.
  • Assist with settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in good standing with the State Bar of Texas.
  • Litigation experience, preferably in a law firm setting.
  • Strong understanding of civil procedure and litigation tactics.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and technology.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in good standing with the State Bar of Texas.
