A law firm in Oviedo, FL, is actively seeking an Associate Litigation Attorney to join their team. The role requires managing and litigating a diverse caseload, including wage and hour, ADA, B2B commercial disputes, and other employment matters. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with legal assistants/paralegals, mentor team members, continuously improve legal processes, and engage with clients. The ideal candidate should be a licensed, practicing attorney with a minimum of 2 years of experience, particularly in employment law or civil litigation.

Duties:

  • Manage and litigate 20+ matters simultaneously, focusing on wage and hour, ADA, Title VII, FMLA, and B2B commercial disputes.
  • Collaborate with legal assistants/paralegals and other attorneys as a team.
  • Mentor legal assistants and paralegals.
  • Continuously improve legal processes.
  • Participate in calls with clients and potential clients.
  • Substantively work on federal court cases, agency investigations, and dispositive motion practice.
  • Take or defend depositions and participate in hearings or mediations.

Requirements:

  • Licensed, practicing attorney for a minimum of 2 years.
  • Substantive experience in wage and hour, ADA, Title VII, FMLA matters, or business-to-business litigation.
  • Participation in agency investigations (EEOC, DOL, NLRB).
  • Substantive involvement in federal court cases.
  • Experience in dispositive motion practice, hearings, or mediations.
  • Current member of the Florida Bar in good standing.
  • Technologically competent.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ideally, 3+ years of . experience with 2+ years in employment law OR 4+ years as a civil litigator.
  • Multilingual.
  • Bring a book of business.
  • Licensed to practice law in more than one state.
