A law firm in New York City, NY, is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its Matrimonial department. The ideal candidate should have 3-5 years of legal experience and will play a key role in handling matrimonial cases and providing legal counsel to clients.

Duties:

• Represent clients in matrimonial matters, including divorce, child custody, spousal support, and asset distribution.
• Conduct legal research, analyze case law, and prepare legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their objectives and develop effective legal strategies.
• Participate in negotiations and settlement discussions on behalf of clients.
• Prepare for and attend court proceedings, including hearings, trials, and mediations.
• Maintain accurate and organized case files, documentation, and evidence.
• Provide regular updates to clients on case progress and developments.
• Work closely with senior attorneys and partners to ensure cases are handled effectively and efficiently.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of legal experience, preferably with a focus on matrimonial law.
• Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the New York State Bar.
• Strong understanding of matrimonial law, including divorce procedures and child custody issues.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a legal team.
• Proficiency in legal research, analysis, and drafting legal documents.
• A commitment to client confidentiality and ethical legal practice.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
