Position Summary:

- Seeking experienced candidate with expertise in renewable energy, research and development, or other federal credits and incentives engagements
- Passion for providing value to clients is a must

- Manage client data and serve as the lead point-of-contact for clients with both tax and technical backgrounds

Responsibilities:

- Manage federal credits and incentives opportunities, including Research and Development tax credit/deduction analyses, New Markets Tax Credit, Qualified Opportunity Zones, Renewable Energy tax credits, and other federal credit incentive services
- Utilize technical skills and industry knowledge to solve complex issues
- Demonstrate sound judgement and instincts when evaluating various credits and incentives opportunities
- Develop and mentor team members, providing counseling and career guidance

The Team:

- National Federal Tax Services (NFTS) is a national practice within Deloitte Tax LLP, offering a variety of tax planning and compliance services for large organizations in all industries
- Global Investment & Innovation Incentives (Gi3) team is a national team of specialists dedicated to providing comprehensive tax credit and incentive services, including Research and Development credit, New Market Tax Credit, Qualified Opportunity Zones, Renewable Energy tax credits, and other federal credits
- Benefits offered for activities conducted in the United States and in over 30 other countries that offer research incentives

Qualifications:

Required:

- Ability to work in a hybrid model, co-locating in person 2-3 days per week
- Up to 25% travel required, depending on work and clients served
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, law, engineering, technology, or related field
- 8+ years’ experience in core federal tax compliance
- Active accreditation such as CPA, licensed attorney, Enrolled Agent, PMP, CFA, or Professional Engineer

Preferred:

- Experience at a Big 4 or large CPA firm
- Advanced degree such as MST, MAcc, LLM, or JD
- Proven leadership skills with strong judgement, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- Effective research, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines
- Participation in engagement strategic planning initiatives
- Strong project management and organizational skills

Salary Information:

- Wage range for this role is $153,860 to $285,740, taking into account various factors such as skill sets, experience, and certifications
- Eligible for discretionary annual incentive program
