Job Overview: A law firm in Boston, MA, is seeking an experienced Healthcare Regulatory, Reimbursement, And/Or Fraud And Abuse Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in healthcare law, specifically focusing on regulatory compliance, reimbursement issues, and fraud and abuse matters.

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel and support on healthcare regulatory matters, including compliance with CMS coding, coverage, and payment regulations.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis related to healthcare fraud and abuse laws, such as anti-kickback and Stark regulations.
  • Advise clients on reimbursement issues with commercial payors, including negotiation and disputes.
  • Assist in health system and growth/private equity healthcare and life sciences transactions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Draft and review legal documents, contracts, and agreements of healthcare regulations and transactions.
  • Represent clients in administrative hearings, investigations, and other legal proceedings related to healthcare regulatory matters.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 11 years of experience practicing law, preferably focusing on healthcare regulatory, reimbursement, fraud, and abuse matters.
  • Extensive policy, advocacy, and compliance experience in CMS coding, coverage, payment regulations, and/or healthcare fraud and abuse laws.
  • Prior involvement in reimbursement matters with commercial payors is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare industry dynamics and regulatory landscape.
  • Bar admission in Massachusetts or eligibility to waive in.

Education & Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active Bar membership in good standing.

Skills:

  • Excellent legal research and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and clients.
