# Tax Principal - High Net Worth

Company is seeking an experienced Tax Principal to join their Private Client Tax practice. The role will involve leading a team of tax and industry professionals to deliver tax compliance and consulting services, as well as developing new business and expanding services to existing clients.

## Job Requirements

The ideal candidate for this position should possess:

* Bachelor’s or Master’s in Accounting, Taxation or related field
* Current CPA licensure (JD may be accepted in lieu of CPA)
* 10+ years of public accounting experience in a tax role with a public accounting and/or professional services firm
* Experience with high net worth individuals and their related entities
* Experience with tax compliance and consulting services
* Demonstrated ability to manage and mentor a team
* Ability to travel to different client sites

## Job Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

* Leading a team of tax and industry professionals to deliver tax compliance and consulting services, including mentoring the team to get to know and help their clients by developing a deep understanding of their businesses and delivering the firm’s services to fully meet client’s needs
* Assuming full responsibility for all services for clients in a book of business
* Reviewing and signing engagement letters, discussing the nature and terms of assignments with clients and staff, and approving fees
* Reviewing and approving work papers and tax returns prepared by staff
* Reviewing and signing client deliverables
* Keeping current on tax law changes
* Actively developing new business and expanding services to existing clients
* Demonstrating commitment to the firm through a willingness to devote time to the practice
