Job Overview: The General Liability Associate Attorney will primarily be responsible for handling file review, legal analysis, and representation of clients in court proceedings related to general liability claims. The role requires extensive legal research, drafting of various legal documents, and active participation in trial preparation and attendance. The ideal candidate should possess a strong work ethic excellent communication skills, and be admitted to practice in the state of NY.

Duties:

  • Conducting file review and legal analysis of claims and causes of action
  • Performing extensive legal research and drafting substantial briefs, memos, pleadings, and appellate briefs
  • Representing clients in court, at arbitrations, and in depositions
  • Drafting and responding to discovery requests
  • Retaining and collaborating with expert witnesses
  • Preparing for trials and attending as required
  • Some travel may be necessary

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in General Liability
  • . degree from an ABA-approved law school
  • Admitted to practice in the state of NY; admission in other states is a plus
