Fort Worth office of our client seeks family attorney with 1 year of experience. The candidate will manage a family law caseload and provide direct supervision to a paralegal. Will monitor open cases for activity. Reviews open and closed cases for proper recordkeeping and file maintenance. Files petitions, answers, and counter petitions. Mediation. Pre-trial Discovery. Takes deposition testimony. Files post-judgment motions, bills of review and appeals. Conducts hearings, trials before the court and jury trials. Conducts regular reviews of open cases. Provides co-counseling assistance to other attorneys of the Family Department. Participates in departmental meetings. Establishes and maintains positive relationships with clients, other attorneys, court employees and judicial officers. Conducts employee performance evaluation and handle corrective action or disciplinary issues with the assistance of the Supervising Attorney, Family Department and the Chief Legal Officer. Other duties which may from time-to-time be assigned by the Supervising Attorney, Family Department or the Chief Legal Officer. Should have been licensed to practice law in Texas. Family law board certification is preferred. Guardian Ad Litem certification is preferred.
