A law firm is seeking an Employment Litigation Of Counsel:

Job Overview:

The Employment Litigation Of Counsel defends and prosecutes lawsuits encompassing employment-related claims and agency charges. They counsel, advise, and train employers on various employment and labor law matters. The role entails representing employers in court, arbitration, administrative agencies, and mediation, particularly in class/collective actions and discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage-and-hour, contract, employment tort, and non-compete cases.

Duties:

  • Defend and litigate lawsuits involving employment-related claims and agency charges
  • Advise, counsel, and train employers on employment and labor law issues
  • Represent employers in court, arbitration, administrative agencies, and mediation
  • Handle class action/PAGA cases with a preference for prior experience in this area
  • Supervise and manage associate and paralegal work, including delegating assignments and providing feedback

Requirements:

  • JD from an accredited law school with excellent academic credentials
  • 9+ years of experience in employment litigation, with significant experience managing cases in a first-chair capacity
  • Current CA Bar admission in good standing
  • In-depth understanding of current agency (state and federal) procedures
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Attention to detail and commitment to excellence
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills
  • Commitment to professionalism, collegiality, and teamwork

Preferred:

  • Experience with class action/PAGA cases

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Current California Bar admission in good standing
