Duties:

  • Represent contractors, developers, and owners in construction-related legal matters.
  • Prepare and negotiate contracts related to construction projects.
  • Provide risk management advice to prevent disputes during construction.
  • Handle resolution of disputes post-construction through mediation, arbitration, and litigation.
  • Address payment disputes, design claims, defect claims, and other construction-related issues.
  • Work on matters ranging from contract administration to alternative dispute resolution to litigation.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10+ years of litigation experience, preferably in construction law.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in construction litigation.
  • Membership in good standing with the Florida Bar.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Membership in the Florida Bar.

Skills:

  • Excellent litigation skills.
  • Proficiency in contract negotiation and drafting.
  • Strong understanding of construction law and industry practices.
