## Property Tax Manager - Multistate Tax Are you a strategic and creative Tax Manager with an eye for complex property tax issues? Are you ready to make an impact on organizations by combining tax consulting solutions and innovative technologies to align the tax function with business objectives? Deloitte’s Multistate Tax Services (MTS) group is looking for sharp Tax Managers for the Property Tax team who are ready to take on new challenges. ### Responsibilities As a Property Tax Manager in the MTS group, you will provide state and local property tax planning, consulting, and compliance services to multiple clients within various industries. Your responsibilities will include: - Maintaining and developing strong client relationships on various property tax consulting and/or compliance engagements. - Providing guidance to clients on a range of property tax issues including complex, commercial, real, and personal property tax. - Analyzing property tax considerations and/or the potential impacts related to business restructuring or due diligence projects. - Performing in-depth reviews of complex property tax returns. - Assisting with drafting and presenting new proposals to new and existing clients. - Providing guidance and mentoring for the development of the engagement team. ### Qualifications - Ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model that requires US Tax professionals to co-locate in person 2 – 3 days per week - 5+ years experience working in property tax and with property tax assessors - Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or another related field. - One of the following accreditations obtained: - Licensed CPA in state of practice/primary office if eligible to sit for the CPA - If not CPA eligible: - Licensed attorney - Enrolled Agent - Certifications: - CMI (Certified Member of the Institute for Professionals in Taxation) - MAI (Member of the Appraisal Institute) - ASA (American Society of Appraisers) - CRE (Counselor of Real Estate) - CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member) - Licensed Texas Senior Property Tax Consultant - Ability to travel up to 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve Preferred qualifications include: - Advanced degree such as Masters of Tax, JD, and/or LLM. - Previous consulting experience from a large property tax practice. - Thorough understanding of PTMS and OneSource Property Tax. - Experience with property tax compliance, tax planning, tax analysis, and related tax research. - Experience managing a team and acting as first point of contact with your clients. ### Salary Range The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $95,900 to $203,060. You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
