A law firm in Boston is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with 2-4 years of practical litigation experience. The ideal candidate should have a background or knowledge in defense of consumer claims/class actions, gaming law, IP, and trade secret litigation. Strong research and writing skills, along with a positive presence and advocacy ability, are essential. Preference will be given to candidates with solid academics and entrepreneurial drive. Admission to the Massachusetts Bar is required for this position.

 

Duties:

  • Conduct legal research and analysis on various litigation matters
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery requests/responses
  • Assist in all phases of litigation, from case initiation to trial preparation and settlement negotiations
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the court
  • Participate in case strategy meetings and client consultations
  • Manage case files and maintain accurate records
  • Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and court decisions

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the Massachusetts Bar
  • 2-4 years of practical litigation experience
  • Background or knowledge in defense of consumer claims/class actions, gaming law, IP, and trade secret litigation is advantageous
  • Strong research and writing skills
  • Positive presence and advocacy ability
  • Entrepreneurial drive and initiative
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in handling complex litigation matters
  • Familiarity with electronic discovery and litigation technology
  • Trial experience or moot court participation
