A law firm in Purchase, NY is seeking an Associate Attorney with superior analytical and communication skills, as well as litigation experience. The ideal candidate will manage their own caseload with oversight by partners and handle various tasks related to litigation, including drafting motions, attending hearings, and conducting depositions.

Duties:

• Manage own caseload with oversight by partners.
• Draft motions, pleadings, and discovery responses.
• Conduct legal research and write memorandums.
• Attend hearings and court conferences.
• Conduct and defend depositions.
• Attend inspections and mediations.
• Prepare for trials and participate in trial proceedings.
• Consult with expert witnesses as needed.

Requirements:

• Defense attorneys admitted in New York or certified for admission.
• Superior analytical and communication skills.
• Litigation experience.

Education/Certifications:

Juris Doctorate (.) degree from an accredited law school.

Skills:

• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Strong litigation experience.
• Ability to manage own caseload.
• Proficiency in legal research and writing.
