The ideal candidate will be crucial in providing legal advice on employment-related matters, conducting audits, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.

Job Details:

• Conduct audits of employer practices, focusing on wage and hour policies and procedures.
• Draft and revise incentive compensation documents, including commission and bonus plans.
• Prepare and revise policies, handbooks, and other employee communication documents for clarity and compliance.
• Communicate complex employment law issues clearly and understandably to diverse audiences.
• Identify problem-solving options, providing clients with a comprehensive understanding of the pros and cons of informed decision-making.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Admitted to the California State Bar and in good standing.
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in employment law.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local workplace and employment law (additional knowledge of California employment law preferred).
• Understanding current agency (state and federal) enforcement techniques is a plus.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admitted to the California State Bar and in good standing.

Skills:

• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
• Experience conducting training or workplace investigations is preferred.
