Senior Director, Intellectual Property Counsel - $250,000-$300,000/year

Reporting to the Chief Legal Officer, the Senior Director of Intellectual Property Counsel at Immunome, Inc. will be responsible for managing and enforcing the company's intellectual property rights. This is a hybrid position located in Bothell, WA and offers the opportunity to work with a dynamic team in a fast-paced biotechnology company.

They use a variety of modalities, including immunotherapies, targeted effectors, radioligand therapies, and antibody drug conjugates, to pursue underexplored targets in order to create transformative therapies. Position Overview

As the Senior Director of Intellectual Property Counsel, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing the company's intellectual property strategy related to its platform and programs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide expert counsel on a variety of intellectual property issues throughout the discovery, development, and commercialization process. This position reports to the Chief Legal Officer and offers the opportunity to work closely with scientific, development, commercial, and legal colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

? Develop, manage, and counsel on all patent aspects of platform and product lifecycle portfolios, including strategy, prosecution, patent office proceedings, freedom to operate, enforcement, due diligence, and related transactions.
? Collaborate with and provide expert counsel to scientific, development, commercial, and legal colleagues on a variety of intellectual property issues relating to the discovery, development, and commercialization of the company's platform and product candidates.
? Provide timely, practical, and actionable guidance to internal clients in research, development, and commercial functions.
? Participate in due diligence efforts and negotiations for business development initiatives.
? Establish and maintain good working relationships with outside counsel and independently evaluate their advice.
? Develop best practices and implement policies for invention disclosures, protection of trade secrets, and other intellectual property protection initiatives.

Requirements

? Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.
? Admission to the bar in Washington State or the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
? Registered to practice before the US Patent and Trademark Office.
? Advanced degree in a relevant scientific field preferred.
? 7+ years of experience, preferably in-house and at an AmLaw 100 law firm, handling complex intellectual property matters with a deep understanding of patent strategy in the biotechnology and/or pharmaceutical industry.
? Ability to work independently and manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
? Experience in patent preparation and prosecution, due diligence, patentability and freedom-to-operate assessment required; litigation and transactional experience preferred.
? Experience with international patent legal issues and strategies preferred.
? Ability to anticipate future business, competitive, and legal risks while identifying creative solutions and opportunities.
? Adept at responding quickly, clearly and pragmatically in challenging situations.
? Excellent analytical, communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.

Salary Range

The salary range for this position is $250,000 - $300,000 per year.
