## Tax Manager - Federal Credits and Incentives

We are looking for a Tax Manager with expertise in Federal Credits and Incentives (FCI) to join our Credits, Incentives and Methods (CIM) group. The successful candidate will possess a minimum of five (5) years of experience in public accounting or a combination of public accounting and industry/law, and a minimum of two (2) years of experience working with research and development credits.

### Job Responsibilities

The Tax Manager will be responsible for performing tax consulting and advisory services related to Research and Development (R&D) tax credits. This will involve:

- Performing R&D tax credit studies, quantifying R&D activities and costs, compiling proper documentation and support and developing an overall methodology to assist the company in quantifying and supporting past, current and future credits
- Assisting with IRS and federal and state controversy and appeals related to the R&D credit
- Generating and sustaining client relationships
- Managing and implementing multiple projects simultaneously, which include client interviews, computations, analysis, data gathering, and coordination of resources
- Drafting opinion letters, responses to IRS inquiries, IRS Ruling requests, and writing other technical memoranda
- Developing an understanding of client's business and becoming a "functional expert" in the area
- Helping to drive the success of multiple R&D engagements
- Contributing as an industry expert by keeping abreast of changes in industry regulation, maintain competency through continuing education and obtaining additional professional certifications

### Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Tax
- Certification and current licensure as one of the following: CPA, JD, or Enrolled Agent
- Intermediate skills in MS Excel and Access
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
- Masters in Accounting
- Experience working for large national accounting firm in a specialized practice area

### Compensation

RSM offers a competitive benefits and compensation package for all our people. The compensation range for this position is $95,400 - $207,000.
