Associate Attorney - Remote Position with Law Firm in Multiple States H1: Employment Opportunity with Law Firm for Associate Attorney H2: Join Our Team as an Associate Attorney at a Growing Law Firm Summary: - Law firm seeking associate attorney to handle eviction cases in multiple states, with preference given to candidates licensed in Mississippi, Georgia, Texas, or Alabama - Minimum of 1 year litigation experience required, with preference for experience in evictions or default related litigation - Fully remote work environment may be available for the right candidate, with relocation assistance package offered for candidates relocating to one of the firm's offices - Responsibilities include handling all aspects of eviction cases, attending court hearings, maintaining case schedules and deadlines, and providing legal advice to clients - Must be a licensed attorney in good standing with the State Bar of Mississippi, with additional licenses in Georgia, Alabama, or Texas preferred - Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills required - Normal office working conditions, with possibility for remote work - Competitive salary based on experience and accomplishments offered - Only qualified candidates will be contacted for consideration Duties & Responsibilities: - Handle all aspects of eviction cases from start to finish - Timely complete assigned tasks and steps in internal case management system - Attend court hearings, when possible, for eviction cases - Independently maintain schedule of hearings and court deadlines - Prepare and review necessary documentation for eviction cases, including letters and pleadings - Sign pleadings, as needed, in front of a notary public - Regularly update clients and provide legal advice - Communicate professionally and effectively with clients, opposing counsel, judges, and other parties involved in cases - Update and maintain both client and firm's internal case management systems Education & Work Experience: - Must be a licensed attorney in good standing with the State Bar of Mississippi - Additional licenses in Georgia, Alabama, or Texas preferred - 1-5 years of experience in eviction or general litigation Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: - Motivated self-starter with ability to multitask - Detail-oriented and able to work independently with little supervision - Able to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Personable, professional, and courteous - Flexible and adaptable to change - Strong organizational skills - Ability to identify and solve problems in a timely manner - Contributes to building a positive team spirit Work Environment: - Normal office working conditions, with possibility for remote work - Quiet to moderate noise level Salary Information: - Competitive salary offered, commensurate with experience and accomplishments Application Process: - Submit resume in confidence for consideration - Must be authorized to work in the United States - Only qualified candidates will be contacted for consideration Disclaimer: - Job description may not include all duties and responsibilities, and employee may be assigned other related duties as needed to meet the organization's needs.
