BDO, one of the largest accounting and advisory organizations in the world, is seeking a Tax Manager, International Tax Services to join our team. This position can be located in any of our offices in the United States including Dallas, TX, Boston, MA, Atlanta, GA, McLean, VA, Philadelphia, PA, and Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in corporate tax, international tax, or legal professional services and a strong understanding of international tax laws and regulations. As a Tax Manager, International Tax Services, you will be responsible for advising multinational clients in a variety of industries on tax implications and compliance. You will also have the opportunity to develop your skills in tax planning, research, and quantitative analysis while managing risk and coordinating with internal and external teams. In addition, you will serve as a mentor to tax associates and contribute to business development within your area of expertise.

Responsibilities:

Advise clients on international tax matters, including tax planning, research, and compliance
Identify and develop solutions for international tax optimization needs
Communicate complex technical information to clients in a non-technical manner
Manage risk and coordinate with internal and external teams
Assess international tax filing obligations for multinational structures
Review tax returns and develop tax technical positions
Represent clients before the IRS on contested issues
Train and mentor tax associates
Participate in marketing, networking, and business development activities
Stay up-to-date on international tax laws and regulations

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or another business-related major
Juris Doctorate, LLM, or MST/MBT preferred
CPA, Attorney, or Enrolled Agent certification required
4+ years of experience in corporate tax, international tax, or legal professional services
Experience supervising tax professionals preferred
Strong knowledge of international tax laws and regulations
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and tax software such as RIA, BNA, Lexis Nexis, or Westlaw
