Job Title: Senior Manager, International Tax

Salary Range: $152,100 - $297,300 (California)

As a Senior Manager in our International Tax practice, you will have the opportunity to work with multinational enterprises and provide guidance on business decisions, tax planning, and compliance. You will also collaborate with colleagues in Mergers & Acquisition Tax to structure tax aspects of multinational transactions and assist with the development and training of new and experienced staff professionals.

Responsibilities:

- Direct multinational enterprises on business decisions, such as location, entity choice, and capital mobilization, while considering tax risk profile, global effective tax rate, and cash posture
- Advise clients on potential short and long-term consequences of tax planning decisions at a global level, taking into account their wider business objectives
- Collaborate with colleagues in Mergers & Acquisition Tax to structure tax aspects of multinational transactions and provide tax opinions, memos, and Excel models
- Assist clients with tax provision for financial statements and compliance work, and review a company's financial reporting of tax implications from global operations and transactions
- Provide guidance on income tax treaty planning for inbound and outbound cross-border investing and trading activities
- Work with alternative investment companies at all stages of the investment life cycle, for both asset managers and portfolio companies operating globally

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 8 years of recent experience in international, mergers and acquisitions, and/or federal tax planning
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university; licensed CPA, EA, JD/LLM or foreign equivalent
- Knowledge of a broad range of international and domestic tax laws
- Strong research and writing, Excel modeling, and oral communication skills
- Ability to balance and lead multiple engagements, supervise and train staff professionals, and maintain excellent client service
- Able to develop and deepen client relationships and expand KPMG's presence in local and global markets
