Legal Aid Works is currently seeking a Domestic Violence Divorce Attorney in Tappahannock, Virginia to join our dynamic team at a nonprofit law firm. As an attorney, you will have the opportunity to help low-income clients achieve justice in civil legal matters. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about equal justice for all Virginians and driven to use their advocacy and negotiation skills to ensure that individuals and families impacted by poverty receive high quality legal services.

As a Domestic Violence Divorce Attorney, you will handle a busy caseload under the supervision of experienced attorneys, covering a multi-county region around our branch offices located in Culpeper, Fredericksburg, and Tappahannock, Virginia. Your duties will include litigation and community education, as well as supervision of office co-workers. This role will provide you with the opportunity to gain valuable litigation experience while being mentored by experienced attorneys who are dedicated to supporting the work of a new or less experienced attorney.

To be considered for this position, candidates must have a current Virginia license to practice law or be eligible for a legal aid certificate of practice. Public service experience and Spanish speaking abilities are a plus. The salary for this position is $69,000 annually, with excellent benefits, including $5,000 yearly toward student loans.
