Position Summary:

The Sr. Corporate Counsel will join the Legal Team at Targa Resources and provide legal support and advice for all commercial aspects of the company's logistics and transportation/NGL business. This includes contracts for the purchase and sale, exchange, transportation, storage, terminalling, fractionation, export, and distribution of natural gas liquids, as well as contracts for the purchase, sale, gathering, and processing of natural gas in the coastal region. The Sr. Corporate Counsel will also work with other attorneys on transactional and asset-related matters and manage projects within the Legal Team.

Job Functions and Key Responsibilities:

- Negotiate and draft agreements for the purchase, sale, and exchange of natural gas liquids and/or other petroleum products
- Negotiate and draft various midstream agreements related to natural gas, natural gas liquids, and/or other petroleum products
- Provide legal counsel to business clients on commercial agreements and arrangements
- Assist with legal advice for mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures, including due diligence activities
- Counsel clients on joint venture agreements
- Work with business clients and other attorneys to respond to commercial demands and achieve business objectives

Minimum Essential Qualifications:

- Juris Doctorate and licensed to practice law in Texas or Oklahoma
- 4-10 years of legal experience, with law firm experience preferred
- Strong academic background
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic legal environment and respond quickly to commercial demands
- Commercial, pragmatic, and flexible approach
- Experience providing legal advice to senior level business leaders
- Ability to develop and sustain relationships with clients at all levels
- Proven track record as a team player
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Solution-oriented and able to think outside the box
- Regular and reliable attendance

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience negotiating and drafting midstream agreements related to natural gas and petroleum products
- Experience with mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures
- Basic understanding of Federal and state regulation of common carrier natural gas liquids or petroleum liquid pipelines
- Negotiating, drafting, and/or administering joint venture agreements
