Corporate Counsel, Amazon MGM Studios is a key role within Amazon's legal department, responsible for supporting the development and production of original content for Amazon MGM Studio's feature-length motion pictures. Key Responsibilities:

- Structuring, drafting, and negotiating agreements for movie projects, including rights and format option/purchase and acquisition agreements, key above-the-line agreements, and production related agreements
- Reviewing chain-of-title and resolving complex rights issues
- Reviewing content for copyright, trademark, and legal risk
- Managing production legal compliance review
- Partnering with cross-department stakeholders to advise on legal risks and issues
- Assisting with the development of forms, processes, and policies

Requirements:

- Juris Doctor degree and membership in good standing in California state bar
- 5+ years of relevant legal experience, including working for television or feature film productions
- A mix of law firm and in-house experience, preferably at a network, studio, or production company
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Strong analytical skills and a solutions-oriented approach

Compensation and Benefits:

- Base pay ranges from $123,100/year to $229,000/year, depending on geographic market and job-related factors
- Equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package
