Job Title: Tax Manager - Financial Services - Hedge Fund Tax (East Region City Locations)

Salary Information:

- The wage range for this role is $84,980 to $193,440, taking into account factors such as skill sets, experience, and certifications.
- Eligibility for participation in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to various factors including individual and organizational performance.

Experience Information:

- 5+ years of experience providing tax planning services or preparing and reviewing client work papers and income tax returns.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or other business-related field.
- Advanced degree such as Masters of Tax, JD, and/or LLM preferred.
- Previous experience in a Big 4 or large CPA firm is a plus.

Job Description:

- Identify complex tax issues and provide tax analyses for a variety of hedge fund clients and their affiliates.
- Perform detail-level review of tax workpapers, allocations, and tax returns, and conduct research to advise on transactional and tax planning opportunities.
- Build relationships with clients and coordinate and communicate with client contacts to gather information.
- Train, mentor, and supervise seniors and new and experienced-level staff.
- Attend required national and sector-specific training for personal development.

Qualifications:

Required:

- Ability to work in a hybrid model, with 2-3 days of in-person co-location per week.
- Knowledge of Subchapter K, financial products, wash sale and constructive sale rules, and aggregate allocations.
- Experience in a fast-paced, team environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to travel up to 25% based on the work and clients served.
- Active CPA, attorney, or Enrolled Agent license, or certifications such as CFA or CFP.

Preferred:

- Advanced degree such as Masters of Tax, JD, and/or LLM.
- Previous experience in a Big 4 or large CPA firm.
- Knowledge of fund accounting and general ledger accounting.

- This position is available in 22 locations across the US.
