Job Overview: A law firm in San Francisco, CA, seeks a highly skilled and motivated Private Companies Resource Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will prepare, organize, and update legal resources and materials for the Private Companies, Life Sciences Regulatory, and Digital Health practices. This role requires strong drafting skills, legal expertise, and coordination with various stakeholders across practice groups.

Duties:

  • Prepare, improve, annotate, and automate template documents.
  • Curate and organize forms, precedents, and other know-how resources.
  • Collaborate with the legal education team to develop training and educational content.
  • Coordinate with lawyers across practice groups for resource review and updating.
  • Monitor legal and regulatory developments related to the designated practice areas.
  • Develop content for internal and external publications and resources.
  • Handle day-to-day requests from attorneys for precedents and templates.
  • Participate in resource, knowledge management, and practice innovation projects.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned or required.

Requirements:

  • Must be a licensed attorney.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a US corporate/transactional practice.
  • Strong drafting skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience working with larger, later-stage private companies is preferred.
  • Background or interest in life sciences and digital health preferred.
  • Ability to handle multiple ongoing projects and coordinate with stakeholders.
  • Associate experience in running closings and coordinating diligence on transactions preferred.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar in California or eligibility for reciprocity.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in legal research and analysis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Familiarity with legal technology and document automation tools is preferred.
