The candidate should possess previous exposure to civil litigation and familiarity with Florida Rules of Civil Procedure. Responsibilities include drafting and reviewing pleadings, attending court hearings and depositions, and providing top-level legal services to mortgage banking clients.

 

Duties:

  • Organize and prioritize workloads to meet deadlines.
  • Exhibit extraordinary attention to detail and produce accurate work product.
  • Work independently and demonstrate strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills.
  • Draft and review pleadings and other court filings.
  • Attend court hearings, mediations, depositions, and code enforcement hearings across the state.
  • Collaborate closely with mortgage banking clients to provide legal services.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all matters.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal foreclosure, bankruptcy, and collections requirements.
  • Utilize intermediate to advanced-level computer and general office skills.
  • Communicate effectively verbally and through written correspondence.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor from an ABA accredited law school.
  • Bar Membership (required).
  • Previous exposure to civil litigation and familiarity with Florida Rules of Civil Procedure.
  • Strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced-level computer and general office skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
