The role involves handling a diverse range of physical and financial transactions, with a focus on project finance, securitization of energy assets, and navigating the complexities of energy transition.

 

Job Details:

  • Represent financial institutions, commodity trading companies, energy marketers, project developers, and investors in the energy sector.
  • Handle a wide variety of physical and financial transactions related to energy and infrastructure.
  • Demonstrate expertise in project finance and securitization of energy assets.
  • Negotiate and document structured transactions, hedging, offtake, and other trading arrangements for conventional and renewable energy sources, environmental products, and natural gas.
  • Be conversant with credit and security documentation, as well as standard master agreements in the energy and commodities trading industry (., ISDA, EEI, NAESB).
  • Play a substantial role in project management and be comfortable with client interaction.
  • Be a team player with strong interpersonal skills.

 

Requirements:

  • JD from an accredited law school.
  • 3+ years of experience in energy and infrastructure law.
  • Admitted to practice law in Texas.

 

Skills:

  • Expertise in project finance and securitization of energy assets.
  • Negotiation and documentation of structured transactions.
  • Familiarity with standard master agreements (ISDA, EEI, NAESB).
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable with substantial roles in project management.
