Overview:
NaphCare, a leading healthcare provider for correctional facilities, is seeking a highly experienced Litigation Counsel to join our Legal Team. This role will serve as a key business advisor and partner for all litigation-related aspects of our national legal strategy and functional initiatives. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in litigation management and strategy, preferably in medical malpractice, civil rights, and/or government and municipal law.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Legal Team members, business leaders, and corporate staff to articulate the risks and benefits of legal strategy.
- Develop strategies for, manage, and resolve a wide variety of investigations, litigation, and pre-litigation disputes.
- Provide strategic litigation advice to the business on a daily basis.
- Assist in developing and implementing processes, policies, procedures, and systems to promote risk avoidance and prevent litigation.
- Supervise outside counsel and work with NaphCare's insurers to manage insured claims.
- Coordinate reserve analyses and legal disclosures as necessary.

Qualifications:
- degree
- Admitted to practice before a state bar (ability to secure registration as Authorized House Counsel or admission through reciprocity with the State Bar of Alabama, Nevada, California and/or Arizona preferred)
- Five or more years of litigation experience

Preferred Qualifications:
- Litigation and trial experience specific to medical malpractice and civil rights claims regarding healthcare services provided in a jail or prison setting.
- Outstanding judgment and communication skills.
- Demonstrated significant litigation experience and success, including strong litigation management skills.
- Excellent writing skills.
- Desire to continue hands-on litigation management in a corporate setting.
- Strong business acumen to help business balance risk and reward(s).
- Collaborative demeanor to drive quick resolution of issues with multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent management and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to influence at varying levels of the organization.
- Ability to deliver in complex situations.
- Ability to work independently to drive key initiatives.
