Amazon Studios is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Corporate Counsel to join our team as we shape our full-service IP department focused on filmed entertainment. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of exciting projects and collaborate with a dynamic team of IP professionals dedicated to global trademark, copyright, and domain issues for Amazon's MGM Studios. Key Responsibilities:

- Manage title clearance and protection for Amazon MGM Studios
- Conduct trademark risk assessment and enforce trademark protection
- Handle copyright protection and enforcement
- Provide legal counsel to clients
- Negotiate and license deals
- Develop and implement IP processes and best practices
- Manage disputes related to IP
- Educate and counsel the business on IP matters

Basic Qualifications:

- 5+ years of legal experience
- Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

- Deep knowledge of trademark and copyright issues in the entertainment industry
- Ability to take on primary responsibility for all trademark and copyright-related activities in a fast-paced and frugal environment
- Strong understanding of complex legal and business issues
- Excellent communication skills and ability to translate IP matters to various teams within the company
- Creativity, attention to detail, and commitment to customer service

Salary Information:

Our compensation is reflective of the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $123,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $229,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on various factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company and may offer additional forms of compensation, such as equity, sign-on payments, and other benefits.
