A law firm is seeking a Mid-Level Government Contracts Associate Attorney for their Miami, FL, office.

Job Overview:

The Mid-Level Government Contracts Associate Attorney will counsel clients on government contracts laws and regulations, negotiate subcontracts and teaming agreements, and represent clients in litigating bid protests at the Government Accountability Office and/or Court of Federal Claims.

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel to clients on government contract laws and regulations.
  • Review and negotiate subcontracts and teaming agreements.
  • Represent clients in litigating bid protests at the Government Accountability Office and/or Court of Federal Claims.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on issues with government contracts.
  • Draft legal documents, including contracts, memoranda, and pleadings.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and staff on complex legal matters.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Florida State Bar or eligibility for admission via reciprocity.
  • 3+ years of experience practicing government contracts law.
  • Experience counseling clients on government contracts, laws, and regulations.
  • Experience reviewing and negotiating subcontracts and teaming agreements.
  • Experience litigating bid protests at the Government Accountability Office and/or Court of Federal Claims.
  • Strong academic background with a high level of academic achievement.
  • Excellent writing, drafting, and communication skills.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Florida State Bar or eligibility for admission via reciprocity.

Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of government contracts, laws, and regulations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
