- 4+ years of experience at a law firm or in-house legal department, preferably with (re)insurance or financial institutions
- International experience and exposure preferred
- Experience with cyber security, data protection, and North American privacy regulation
- Project management skills and "can do" attitude required
- Fluent in English, other languages such as French or Spanish an asset

in more detail your responsibilities will be to:

in consultation with appropriate legal department leadership, retain, oversee, and manage the work of outside counsel and ensure adherence to outside counsel guidelines and budget requirements
provide correct and timely assessment of legal and compliance issues and give customer focused and solution oriented legal advice, while retaining independence as legal adviser
identify, manage and mitigate legal, regulatory and reputational risks
provide assistance and support to the company and fellow legal team members on a wide range of regulatory matters, including cyber security and data protection
negotiate and assist in drafting of specialized life and health reinsurance agreements
provide legal research, counsel and support to non-legal managers and employees on various aspects of partnerre’s business
provide general corporate/commercial advice to the business on a variety of legal issues including hr and employment matters
