The State and Local Tax Team: Our State & Local Tax team within the Tax Services Group (TSG) specializes in helping clients navigate the ever-changing and complex state and local tax rules. Responsibilities: As a State and Local Tax Senior Manager, you will have the opportunity to oversee and perform projects related to multistate indirect taxes, including sales, use, gross receipts, severance, and property tax issues. You will also be responsible for managing and assisting with various tax consulting projects, keeping up to date on state and local tax law changes, participating in business development activities, and developing internal and external relationships on behalf of the firm. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to assist in the management and development of staff, as well as manage multiple client engagements. Qualifications: To be considered for this position, you must have a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (Master's degree or JD/LLM preferred) and be a CPA, CMI, and/or licensed attorney. You should also have a minimum of 8 years of related tax experience, with previous experience in tax research, providing technical advice on state and local tax issues, and working with state or local tax authorities preferred. Excellent communication skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and proficiency in Microsoft Office are also required. This position may require up to 5-10% travel.
