Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a Junior to Mid-Level Financial Services Litigation Associate Attorney with 2-4 years of experience. The ideal candidate will have financial services, contested foreclosure, and/or New York commercial litigation experience, and strong writing and communication skills. New York Bar admission is required, and New Jersey bar admission is a plus.

Duties:

  • Conduct legal research and draft legal memoranda, pleadings, motions, and other legal documents related to financial services litigation matters.
  • Assist senior attorneys in all stages of litigation, including discovery, trial preparation, and settlement negotiations.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and courts.
  • Attend court hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings as necessary.
  • Assist with case management and organization, including maintaining electronic and physical case files.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the New York Bar is required; admission to the New Jersey Bar is a plus.
  • 2-4 years of experience in financial services litigation, contested foreclosure, and/or New York commercial litigation.
  • Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced legal environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the New York Bar is required; admission to the New Jersey Bar is a plus.
